An audience of over three thousand gathered around the plaza as the Mayor of Calgary opened the Ice Painting to the public. A specially choreographed performance by the Calgary Ice Dance Theatre followed. After the performance, thousands of skaters of all ages burst onto to the ice to experience this exciting new work for themselves.
