Canada Ice Dance Theatre opened the Ice Painting event in Vancouver. Afterwards, the audience surrounded the painting, skates on, as it was unveiled under theatrical lighting. Performers took audience members by the hand and led them, one-by-one over the painting. Thousands more came to skate on the weekend. The CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) covered the event for the national news.
