What people said about the 2003 Challenge... "What
a blast! Most of my holiday time and energy was spent towards
this amazing event. Not that it's a bad thing, I enjoyed
most of my time with my hard-working team mates. . . ... "From the time Tami told me about the project until New Year's Eve I was very enthusiastic and I put a lot of effort into every bit of the painting, poetry, costumes, props, choreography, presentation . . . It was worth it in the end! I was blown away by the quality of the paintings . . and then to see the presentations afterwards. It was awesome! We enjoyed receiving some recognition for our hard work and dedication with the award of "Most inspiring Performance and Art Interpretation!" "Thank you to our supporters who kept this going, to the Sechelt Arena who gave us this time and space to explore this new art form and a special thank you to Gordon and Kate who 'birthed" this whole concept. I hope to see another challenge next year. It was fun and inspiring and a truly sensational way to bring in the new year!"
..."It was an interesting and diverse event! The performances were great! (beautiful, spiritual, funny . . .)"
"We had never anticipated the benefits we would get from it . It was just wonderful."
..."The
paintings look fantastic! ..."Thanks so much for all your efforts in getting this incredible project done so successfully! You're wonderful!" Great Story in The Coast Reporter about the 2003 Ice Painting Challenge |
